We have three new, modern apartments for short or long-term rental. The bottom floor is a 1-bedroom/1 bath apartment. The second and third floor each have a 2-bedroom/2 bath apartment. The apartments are family-friendly and located in a quiet, residential neighborhood.

Meet Our Family

We are the Perez Serrano family. Mucho Gusto! We have been living on the island of Cozumel for many years. Ruben is a dive instructor who loves to show people the under sea world of Cozumel. Areli is a dedicated pediatrician at one of the local hospitals. We have three wonderful children, ranging in age from 7 - 20. You won't see them much because they are very busy with school and activities. Finally, Jasmine, our happy dog, rounds out the family.

Stayed for five nights and it truly was amazing! Excellent location and great host! One of my favorite things was that bikes were available for us to use and that’s really all you need to get around for the most part. The beach was a 6min bike ride away! The pool was right outside my door and the fridge, stove, washing machines, everything was available and ready for use. Stay here if you’re staying in Cozumel!!

If you are looking for an affordable ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1 or 2 bedroom apartment, a phenomenal scuba instructor and great hospitality then book Tortuga Gardens soon as you can! My boyfriend and I were here for a week and felt like we had the best experience for our first time in Cozumel. Ruben is so friendly and accommodating, and his place is very close to grocery shopping, and within walking distance of lots of restaurants with bikes available if you want to use them. The apartment itself is wonderful and has great security to feel extra safe. We will definitely be back and highly, highly recommend Tortuga Gardens (muy perfecto) Gracias Ruben!!

Tortuga Gardens is a great place to stay, clean, safe, close to everything and with Ruben being a super host is just an amazing experience. He help out with everything, makes you feel at home and answer all the questions that you might have and help you get the best deals for tours around, he goes above and beyond for his guests. Whenever we go back, we’ll be staying again there where they make us feel welcome and at home. Thank you Rubén!

Very nice clean condominium space about a mile from the ocean. Owner lives on the premises and is very responsive to any questions. Wi-Fi was adequate and he is looking to improve the service. Maid service twice weekly. Nice kitchen, clean and modern bathroom, good safety features, and a couple of around the town mountain bikes that we may could use of. We will certainly try to book our trip here again next year if it is available.

If you want a private space a little off the beaten path, Tortuga Gardens is for you! Ruben is an excellent host. He helped me with every last request I had: bike need adjustment - done! Wanted to rent a scooter for a little cheaper - he facilitated! Needed stronger wifi - he got a hotspot. I couldn't recommend this place more. It's perfect for an individual or couple who doesn't mind getting around by bike, scooter or car. It's not in the center of town, so you would need to make your way there and around. But he has bikes you can use and all the snorkel gear you could want to borrow. The place had every amenity I could need to cook with, as well as drinking water provided. Stay here and enjoy yourself. You won't want to leave!

Excelente atención de parte de Rúben quien es un excelente anfitrion quien nos proporciono muchisimos tips locales. El lugar es excelente y muy tranquilo, cuenta con medidas preventivas para Covid por lo que toda la estancia nos sentimos muy seguros.

If this place is available for the dates you are looking, book it now. Rubén is the definition of a super host. I greatly enjoyed spending time with and talking to him, and learned a ton about the island - places to see, things to do and all the restaurants. He is so welcoming and I immediately knew I made the right decision when he greeted me at my arrival. 15 minute bike ride to the ocean, and an unbelievable amount of great food options in his neighborhood (the bikes are a great touch, so easy to just hop on and explore). This is a perfect place to immerse in the culture for however long your stay, as you are surrounded by a working community. This isn't an ocean front all inclusive type stay, and that is where the charm comes in. Gracias por todo Rubén!

Ruben was there to meet us on arrival and show us the amenities of the place. He was also able to help me get scuba certified as he is a PADI certified instructor. He answered me promptly, called us a cab and came out to see us off. Overall, best airbnb experience so far!
